Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can anyone take Mama's Tummy Relief?
A: Mama’s Tummy Relief can be used for anyone (1 year and older) who is dealing with an upset stomach, indigestion, nausea, and gas. While we formulated it with mamas in mind, many others can benefit from its soothing effects too
Q: Can I take Mama's Tummy Relief daily to support my body through morning sickness?
A: The herbs in this tincture are quite gentle and can be taken daily and as often as needed. It may help support the body during morning sickness!
Q: What is the difference between Mama’s Tummy Relief and Infant Tummy Relief?
A: Infant Tummy Relief is designed for babies under the age of 1 year old, and does not contain the dandelion root or blackberry leaf that helps the body detox because babies do not need detox help at that age.
Mama’s Tummy Relief can be used for anyone age 1 or older
Q: How do I take this? Can I mix this with juice or a smoothie?
A: All of our tinctures can be taken sublingually (under the tongue), orally, or in juice, water, smoothies, applesauce, etc. -- except for Digest-Support, which must be taken alone with as little water as possible 20 minutes before a meal.
If giving multiples, they can be mixed together in a cup -- except for Digest-Support, which must be taken alone with as little water as possible 20 minutes before a meal.
Be sure not to let the dropper touch the mouth as this can cause contamination. When taking yourself, drop from above your mouth under your tongue. When giving to someone else, ask them to open their mouth and lean their head back so you can drop it in.
Q: I feel I could use some more support; can this be taken with other Earthley products?
A: Yes, all Earthley Wellness products are safe to take together, except Digest Support. That should be taken 30 minutes before meals with as little water as possible for best results
Q: When do products expire? What are the shelf life of your items?
A: In order to be FDA compliant, we are no longer able to put a Best By or Expiration Date on our products.
We do, however, have our Lot Number on all products, which can be found as a 7-digit number either printed on the label or a sticker placed on the container. This will tell the day the product was finished.
An example would be the lot number #2124005.
🟩 The first two numbers will indicate the year it was made.
So for the above lot, the first two numbers are 21 and so it was made in the year 2021.
🟩 The next three numbers will indicate the day of the year it was made using the Julian Calendar.
So the "240" day of the year would end up being the 12th of August.
🟩 The last two numbers will show the batch number made that day.
So "05" would be the 5th batch made that day.
🟩 This would mean that the product was finished on August 12, 2021 and was the 5th product made that day.
Shelf Life For Products:
Because our products are 100% natural with no artificial preservatives, they do expire.
The expiration dates are very loose estimates and products usually last much longer.
You can extend the shelf life by keeping your products in the refrigerator, although it is not required.
Products are safe to use past the expiration date, as long as they do not smell rancid (oil-based) or have visible mold (this is very rare unless contamination has occurred -- usually from mouth contact on the dropper).
- 2 years for all tinctures
- 1 year for powders
- 1 year for oils (Gut Health Oil, Earache Ease, Cod Liver Oil, etc)
- 1 year for topical products
- 3 years for soaps
- 2 years for essential oils
