Q: The Spice Tea is strong; can I make it with less loose tea and still get the same effects?
A: The effects of the herbs will remain the same, but they may be less powerfully felt than if you brew the recommended amount.
Q: How many cups of tea does one bag of Spice Tea make?
A: Serving Size: 1 Tablespoon, 15 servings per 3 oz bag
Q: Are the benefits different if enjoyed hot or cold?
A: No!
Q: Does this tea contain caffeine?
A: No, this is an herbal tea and is naturally caffeine-free.
Q: Why do I have to steep this tea for such a long time?
A: Herbal teas take longer to steep in order to extract the benefits of the herbs.
Q: How much can I drink in a day?
A: You can drink as many as you need/want. If you feel like you are drinking too much, cut back. You can safely drink at least one cup per day, but more than that is up to the individual to decide based on how they feel when drinking more.
Q: When do products expire? What is the shelf life?
A: In order to be FDA compliant, we are no longer able to put a Best By or Expiration Date on our products.
We do, however, have our Lot Number on all products, which can be found as a 7-digit number either printed on the label or a sticker placed on the container. This will tell the day the product was finished.
An example would be the lot number #2124005.
🟩 The first two numbers will indicate the year it was made.
So for the above lot, the first two numbers are 21 and so it was made in the year 2021.
🟩 The next three numbers will indicate the day of the year it was made using the Julian Calendar.
So the "240" day of the year would end up being the 12th of August.
🟩 The last two numbers will show the batch number made that day.
So "05" would be the 5th batch made that day.
🟩 This would mean that the product was finished on August 12, 2021 and was the 5th product made that day.
Shelf Life For Products:
Because our products are 100% natural with no artificial preservatives, they do expire.
The expiration dates are very loose estimates and products usually last much longer.
You can extend the shelf life by keeping your products in the refrigerator, although it is not required.
Products are safe to use past the expiration date, as long as they do not smell rancid (oil-based) or have visible mold (this is very rare unless contamination has occurred -- usually from mouth contact on the dropper).
